Big bank

I have written to Peter Mandelson and the Office of Fair Trading for Consumer Focus on the Lloyds TSB / HBOS merger. It is good that HBOS customers know their money will be safe, but we call for a number of safeguards, including a review of bank regulation, active monitoring of the mortgage market and for the new big bank to set up a Consumer Panel.
